Community and Personal Activities

Tom serves as Chairman of the Board of Foothill Family Service and is a Board Member and Treasurer of Homeboy Industries. He also serves on volunteer committees at Annandale Golf Club, where he enjoys playing golf, and at Santa Teresita Medical Center. Tom and his wife live in Pasadena.

Tom Boyle, a Principal with Stanislawski & Harrison, says the key to his success is treating his clients’ problems as if they were his own. “I determine what keeps them awake at night, and then I try to remove that worry from their lives.” Tom has found this to be an effective strategy in forty years of service to clients with diverse circumstances and concerns. His areas of expertise include investment advice as well as retirement and estate planning for high net-worth individuals and their entities. “My clients have built their reputations and net worth in large part on their integrity and trustworthiness. They want the same characteristics in their advisors.” Tom says.

Tom joined Stanislawski & Harrison after 38 years as the Tax Matters Partner for the West Coast Operations of Deloitte. He was a member of that firm’s National Tax Management Group, and served as Partner in Charge of the Los Angeles tax practice. During those years, Tom gained extensive experience with regulated investment companies, investment management companies, and high tech businesses. His familiarity in these areas has made him an indispensable resource to the clients at Stanislawski & Harrison.

Some of Tom’s clients have been with him for decades, and he often finds himself advising the third generation of families. He recommends strategies to the younger generation for growing and preserving their wealth, while counseling the second generation on plans for succession.

Tom has often been the only person from outside the family to be included in family foundation meetings. His advice helps the founding generation teach its views on philanthropy to the generations that will succeed them. “The founders know that I understand their intentions,” says Tom, “and are confident that I will make sure those intentions will survive them into the future.”
